Veterinary Specialist in Anaesthesia and Analgesia
Stansted Veterinary Specialists is a new, multi-disciplinary, small animal referral clinic scheduled to open in summer 2025, less than a mile from London Stansted Airport. We will be offering Specialist-led Soft Tissue Surgery, Orthopaedics, Neurology and Neurosurgery, Internal Medicine, Diagnostic Imaging and Cardiology referrals. We have much of the equipment that one would expect (CT, MRI, endoscopy etc) but are happy to receive input on the anaesthesia equipment required for best practice! We are independent and owned exclusively by the team working within the clinic, putting pets and people at the heart of everything that we do.
The Role
We are looking for a part-time veterinary anaesthetist to join our team. You must be a diplomate of the RCVS, ECVAA or ACVAA, have the legal right to work in the UK, and be registered with the RCVS or hold a degree that allows registration. The successful applicant will establish best practices within the clinic for Anaesthesia and Analgesia, work with the directors to establish protocols, train and supervise other members of the clinic team and take the lead on anaesthesia of challenging patients.
What we offer:
• Pride in your workplace and profession.
• The ability to shape a service the way it should be, not the way it’s always been!
• A competitive salary commensurate with experience.
• Profit related annual bonus scheme.
• Generous CPD and annual leave allowances, pension scheme contributions and payment of professional registration fees.
• A part time role that can be shaped around your requirements, with potential to become a full-time position as the hospital grows.
How to Apply
For an informal discussion of the role, contact Darren Barnes (Head of Surgery) or Mayank Seth (Clinical Director). To apply please send a copy of your CV with an accompanying cover letter to jobs@svs.vet. Closing date: March 31st 2025. Applications may close early if a suitable candidate is identified before this date.
